Description
They improve machine productivity. They allow the connection of a diesel engine to a drive pump, compressor, or fan, with the input engine speed to be changed to different output speed for the connection. They offer greater rigidity and accuracy. The gear speed increaser is equipped with hardened and ground steel gears that minimize noise and vibration.
They require special care in design and manufacturing. They often involve high speeds that may create problems in gear dynamics. Also, frictional and drag forces are magnified.
